For garden maintenance, cleaning, babysitting, dog walking and groceries, the Dutch scheme for domestic services (Regeling dienstverlening aan huis) applies if someone works for you fewer than 4 days a week. You then pay at least the minimum wage for the helper's age (€14.99 an hour from age 21, since 1 July 2026) plus 8% holiday pay.
