Yes, signing up and using KlusjeBij is completely free. You only pay the helper for the work done.

Not for most small jobs. Anyone can do groceries, help with a move or walk a dog. Specialist work does require experience.

You have to be at least 16 to use KlusjeBij. Some jobs have extra age requirements.

On average people earn €15-30 an hour. It depends on the type of job: gardening and small jobs around the house often pay better (€20-35/hour) than doing groceries (€12-18/hour).

Payment is arranged directly between you and the person who posted the job. Most helpers get paid straight after the job, with a Tikkie (payment request) or in cash.

Yes, for some jobs you can state your own rate. For other jobs the poster suggests a rate.

As many or as few as you like. There are no minimum hours. Some people do 2 hours a week, others 40.

That depends on what you agree with the poster. For jobs further away you can include travel costs in your rate.

You have to declare all income to the Belastingdienst (the Dutch Tax Administration). But thanks to tax credits (heffingskortingen) you often pay little or no tax on small side earnings (up to ~€7,000 a year).

Not always. For occasional small jobs you don't need to register with the KvK (Chamber of Commerce). If you work regularly for several clients, registration is often required.

No. If you use the small business scheme (kleineondernemersregeling, KOR) and turn over less than €20,000 a year, you don't charge VAT (BTW).

Yes, you can deduct costs such as tools, travel (€0.23/km) and work clothes. Keep your receipts!

Your side earnings can affect your supplementary grant (aanvullende beurs). Check the current earnings limit with DUO, the Dutch student finance agency (about €16,000 a year).

Every account has a verified email address and there is a review system. Payment is agreed directly between the poster and the helper, without KlusjeBij in between.

Contact our support straight away. We help with disputes and have a protection policy for both helpers and posters.

Your own liability insurance (aansprakelijkheidsverzekering) usually covers damage you cause by accident. Check your policy or take out specific insurance.

Check the reviews from other helpers, the number of completed jobs and how long someone has been a member. If in doubt, you can turn a job down.

Yes, you only reply to jobs you like. You're never obliged to take anything on.

You only see jobs in your own area. You can set the distance from 1 to 25 km.

Contact the poster as soon as possible. Cancelling at the last minute can lead to a negative review.

Yes! You can both do jobs and post jobs you need help with.

Go to Settings > Account > Delete account. Your data is then deleted permanently.

Yes. Under Profile in your dashboard you can change your name, postcode, description and notifications.

Click 'Forgot your password?' on the login screen. You'll get an email to reset your password.

Fill in your profile completely, add a photo, ask happy posters for a review and reply to jobs quickly.
